YOU

I never knew who I was before You

I never knew love before You

So I dedicate my entire being to You

Holy, acceptable, sacrifice

Only to You

My Joy, my everlasting Peace

You delivered me from inner turmoil,

The wiles of the devil

You became my armor

Protecting me from the ways of this world

The perversion of the enemy

You are unwavering, always consistent

Never judging, ever present

Love

Whose grace is more than sufficient

In my weakness it is Your strength that is made perfect

You work through me

Molding this mound of clay into a perfection that only You can see

Forever grateful You made me into a new being

Shining through me unto others

You turned me into the light of the world

Spreading Your grace, and Word with every work of my hand

I serve only You

My Joy, my everlasting Peace

Through You they can cease nights of tears

Creating puddles of insecurities, worries, and fear,

Through You they can cease wearing colors like red and green

Knowing only hate and envy, but find joy and peace

Through You they can cease searching for the fountain of youth

But drink of eternal life

Through My Lord and Savior

The Alpha and Omega

My Jesus Christ

Disclaimer: The most important relationship in my life is the one I have with God, over my mother, father, sister, boyfriend. It's crazy thinking how God has molded and evolved me over the last four years, from being semi-happy dealing with insecurities, and low-self esteem to feeling completion, joy, and knowing my identity and claiming my destiny.

This poem is for all you questioned their existence, questioned their purpose in this life....if you keep pressing toward God, trust in him and his plan for you....he will heal all wounds and elevate you 10 times higher than you could have ever done yourself.

A few Scriptural references from this poem: 2 Corinthians 12:9, Matthew 5:14-16, Philippians 1:6
