HOW TO KEEP GOD AS PRIORITY
1. Relinquish your share of control - humble yourself! All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5
2. Communication with God = RELATIONSHIP (prayer, reading His Work, meditation, fasting, etc.)
3. Give Him the first. Proverbs 3:9 says to honor God with the firstfruits. First fruits are just what they sound like: when you produce something beneficial you must give the very first, very best to God first.
4. Stop blaming God's purpose for your mistakes: When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. James 1:13-18
5. Understand that your firstfruits are grown from land God provided. It belongs to Him, and you are just ruling it for Him, not instead of Him. Deuteronomy 26:1-2 When you have entered the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance and have taken possession of it and settled in it, take some of the firstfruits of all that you produce from the soil of the land the LORD your God is giving you and put them in a basket. Then go to the place the LORD your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name.
When you make God first, everything else wil fall into place. Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
If you want to know what God wants for you, it's right in front of your face. Search for the simplest answer and most likely that is it. God is simple; we as humans complicate things. Just do what He says because
IF YOU DIG TOO DEEP, YOU WILL END UP IN HELL!
