Coastin...CHEA!!!

Hello Bloggers and Bloggees!

Today's featured artist is DJ Driftwood, Jamiel Cal-Pin, Eagle known as The Score. A student at University of Maryland Collge Park, DJ Driftwood has a radio show, "Coastin' to the Horizon" that airs every Monday from 8am-10am on 88.1 FM College Park Radio. You can also listen online at http://wmucradio.com/wmuc-high.m3u.

On past shows, DJ Driftwood has interviewed as well as featured music by local up and coming artists such as Joshua "OD" Mitchell, Darren "Profet D" Murray, ACross Life, and others. He also includes an encouraging word for the day, sandwhiched between all types of "Jesus Music" from various genres and artists. The encouraging word involves a scripture or two, as well as a thought for the day (as I like to think of it).

One of my other favorite aspects about the show is the "What the Crap!" moment. In this segment, DJ Driftwood showcases an instance or circumstance that literally made him think (or say lol), "WHAT THE CRAP!?" lol The last one I heard was in reference to the many Sonic commericals in the DMV area despite the lack of actual Sonics in the area!!! He then talks about how it is so annoying, but, at the same time, may be a good markeing ploy. Why, you ask? Because then when you finally DO get to a Sonic, you want to go half a billion times because you don't know the next time you'll see one! What the crap!

In short, "Coastin to the Horizon" is a great show and I encourage all of you to check it out. There's music on there for and from everyone and you can even call in. In the event you are not up at 8am (I usually am not...sorry, Jam), you can also download the shows as a podcast and take it with you at http://www.soundcloud.com/jamcalpin !!! The link also includes a mix that DJ Driftwood put together, it's that hotness. No excuse now...you have ample opportunities to go listen lol

This is DJ Epiphany on the 3s and 3s...signing off...
