It's Personal

Dave Hollister has a song called "The Potter" that is always very uplifting to me. I have the lyrics below:

The Potter, He saw a vessel
that had been broken by the wind and the rain.
He sought it with so much compassion
to put it back together again.

Oh, I was that broken vessel
that no one thought was any good,
I cried, "Lord, You are the Potter,"
"and I am the clay,"
"make me over again today".

Chorus:
Jesus picked up the pieces
of my broken heart,
my broken heart that day.
And He made me a new vessel,
He revived my soul again.

Sometimes when we feel like we are broken and beyond repair, we reach out to friends and family to try to put us back together again, or we try to do it ourselves. And there will be people who will write you off if they feel that you have fallen to far from grace, but we have to realize that we have a Potter who is able and willing to put us back together. When I am at this point, I have to remind myself that this is personal, between My Potter and I. So just pray for me.

Love Y'all,
