How He Loves

More than anything else in my Christian life, I've always been boggled by God's unfailing love. How is it that a God so holy, so exalted would be concerned by me? How is it that He would have anything to do with me? His love is something that I wrestled with, ran from and denied -- all because of a great sense of unworthiness. Yes, I am unworthy of His love -- I will always be unworthy of His love. But that's what makes it all the more remarkable. His love for me is greater than any sin I could ever commit. It's stronger than any feelings of guilt I may have.  His love for me drove Him to give His life and His love is now what gives me life. Even though I learn more everyday about His great love, I still cannot completely wrap my mind around how awesome it is. But, I can say that now I've found that in His love I don't have the time or right to maintain my many regrets or disappointments. Why not? Because in His love I am redeemed and in He sees me as perfect. How sweet it is to be loved by God!

Lyrics to David Crowder Band - How He Loves

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we?re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don?t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way....

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.
